上堂云：「古佛有通津，當陽亘古今，懸崖能撒手，一語直千金。參！」

Ascending the hall, [the Master] said: "The ancient Buddhas had a crossing ford, exposed in the sun spanning past and present; on the sheer cliff, if you can let go your hold, a single word is worth a thousand pieces of gold. Investigate!"
