7.11

舉：「悟和尚立僧上堂云：『只這是，大似撒沙向眼中；只這不是，還如注水向耳裏。直下無事平地陷人，別有機關墮坑落塹。』且畢竟作麼生？祇園屈曲流泉急，鷲嶺巍峨雲出遲。」復云：「雲居開大洪爐，不止烹佛烹祖，但有一切持來，烈焰堆中辨取，是則當處平和，不是切宜退步，煆出金剛眼睛，直得乾坤獨露。雖然到這田地，須知向上一路。還委悉麼？放將三聖瞎驢，踢殺大雄猛虎。」

He cited: "When Master Wu appointed a head monk, he ascended the hall and said: 'Saying "just this" is very much like throwing sand into the eyes; saying "just not this" is like pouring water into the ears. Directly without concern, one sinks into level ground; having other dynamic contrivances, one falls into pits and ditches.' But ultimately, what about it? 'In the Jetavana, the meandering spring flows swiftly; / On the Vulture Peak, steep and towering, the clouds come out late.'" He added, "Yunju opens a great furnace, / Not only refining Buddhas and refining Patriarchs; / Whatever there is, bring it all, / And discern it within the blazing flames. / If it is right, there is peace right on the spot; / If not, one should quickly take a step back. / Forging out eyes of vajra, / Truly heaven and earth are uniquely revealed. / Although having reached this state, / One must know the path of transcendence. / Do you fully understand? / Let loose Sansheng's blind ass, / To kick to death the fierce tiger of Daxiong."
