上堂云：「五月五日天中節，萬崇千妖俱殄滅，眼裏拈却須彌山，耳中拔出釘根楔，鍾馗小妹舞三臺，八臂那吒嚼生鐵，勅攝截，急急如律令。」

Ascending the hall, he said: "The fifth day of the fifth month is the Heaven-Centered Festival; myriad evils and thousand goblins are all completely extinguished. From the eyes, Mount Sumeru is plucked away; from the ears, the nailed-in pegs are pulled out. Zhongkui's younger sister dances the Santai; eight-armed Nata chews raw iron. By command, let it be bound and cut off—hastily, hastily, according to the ordinances!"
