7.16

上堂，舉：「僧問法眼：『慧超咨和尚，如何是佛法？』眼云：『汝是慧超。』」師云：「還委悉麼？病遇良醫，饑逢王饍，醬裏得鹽，雪中送炭。」

Ascending the hall, he cited: "A monk asked Fayan, 'Huichao asks the Venerable: What is the Buddha Dharma?' Fayan said, 'You are Huichao.'" The Master said, "Do you fully understand? An illness meeting a fine physician; hunger encountering a royal feast; obtaining salt in the sauce; sending charcoal in the snow."
