上堂云：「釋迦慳，彌勒當，八字打開無盡庫，拄杖子，化為龍，赫日光中吐雲霧，遍界霶𮦏注甘雨。」卓拄杖下座。

Ascending the hall, [the Master] said, "Śākya is stingy, Maitreya covers it up. Opening wide the eight characters of the inexhaustible treasury: the staff transforms into a dragon, spewing clouds and mist in the blazing sunlight, pouring sweet rain torrential across the entire world!" Striking the staff, he descended from the seat.
