舒禪師周祥，上堂：「大眾！去年今日一語翁，泥牛入海無消息，今年今日鐵斧老，優曇鉢華現籌室；油雲出沒太虛空，動靜去來那有跡，須信雪晴天地春，金烏依舊從東出。」

On the first-anniversary memorial of Chan Master Shu, ascending the hall: "Great assembly! On this day last year, the Old Man of a Single Word: a mud ox entered the sea without any news. On this day this year, the Old Iron Axe: the udumbara flower appears in the calculating room. Thick clouds drift in and out of the great void; in movement, stillness, going, and coming, how could there be traces? You must believe that when the snow clears, heaven and earth are spring, and the golden crow rises from the east just as before."
