[The Master] cited: "When Baoshou opened his hall, Sansheng pushed forward a monk. Baoshou immediately struck him. Sansheng said, 'Acting for the person like this does not only blind this monk's eyes, but blinds the eyes of all the people in the entire city of Zhenzhou!' Baoshou threw down his staff and stepped down from the seat."
The Master said, "Baoshou was very much like a venomous dragon roiling the sea, causing rain to pour down like overturned basins. Though Sansheng's thunder shook the azure skies, how could it aid half of that majestic radiance? If there were someone who directly took charge, he would not only blind the eyes of all the people in the entire city of Zhenzhou, but blind the eyes of everyone in the world!"
