[The Master] cited: "Xuefeng instructed the assembly, saying: 'Taking the entire great earth and gathering it up, it is the size of a grain of millet. Thrown before your faces, like a lacquer bucket you do not understand. Strike the drum and let everyone come inspect it!'"
The Master critiqued: "Severing the celestial cords and establishing the terrestrial axes are not yet sufficient to be called marvelous; cleaving Mount Taihua and opening the river's source are also not the mark of a deft hand. If here you can see through, you can scatter the bright pearls from the black dragon's lair and spew the fragrance of sandalwood groves—would that not be delightful? Today this mountain monk will not avoid mud and water to make a single pathway." He then took up his staff and said: "Do you still see Xuefeng?" He then planted the staff and said: "Zha!"
