Ascending the hall: "Great assembly! When the moon in the sky is full, the myriad forms are distinctly clear. When the moon on earth is halved, wherever one touches, it becomes manifest. Seeing or not seeing: wrapping around the ten directions of emptiness, half still remains; hearing or not hearing: penetrating through into complete penetration, piercing to the root source. The jade water-clock and bronze vessel cannot urge it on; heaven, earth, and the great plains are a single branch of lamp. One place completely interfuses all places; the boundless ocean of lands rises in ever steeper tiers."
