上堂：「衝開碧落松千尺，截斷紅塵水一谿，不識本來真面目，將謂人題德嶠詩。」

Ascending the hall: / "Piercing open the blue sky, pines a thousand feet tall; / Cutting through the red dust, a stream of water. / Not recognizing the original true face, / One takes it to be people inscribing Deqiao's poem."
