上堂：「二月仲春，久雨不晴，雲門一劄，德非有隣。」乃顧視大眾云：「劄。」復云：「慚惶殺人。」

Ascending the hall: "In the mid-spring of the second month, the prolonged rain does not clear. Yunmen's single letter: 'Virtue does not have neighbors.'" Then, looking around at the great assembly, he said, "A letter!" Again he said, "It shames one to death."
