無上禪師忌日上堂：「適來未擊鼓已前，無上禪師已為諸人入泥入水，葛藤不少，徑山不可更向土上加泥。」便下座。

Ascending the hall on the memorial day of Chan Master Wushang: "Just now, before the drum was struck, Chan Master Wushang had already entered the mud and entered the water for you people, entangling in vines not a little. Jingshan cannot add more mud on top of the dirt." He then descended from the seat.
