1.33

上堂，舉：「永嘉云：『江月照，松風吹，永夜清宵何所為，佛性戒珠心地印，霧露雲霞體上衣。』」師云：「這箇阿師好與三十棒，且道：過在甚處？不合偷常住物入衣鉢下。」

Ascending the hall, he cited: "Yongjia said: 'The river moon shines, the pine wind blows; / In the clear night of eternal dusk, what is there to do? / The buddha-nature precept pearl is the seal of the mind ground; / Fog, dew, clouds, and mists are the robe on the body.'" The Master said, "This master deserves thirty blows. Tell me: where is his fault? He should not have stolen property belonging to the Sangha and put it under his robes and bowl."
