「此菴非小亦非大，堪笑石頭空揑怪，不知法界即此菴，彊謂此菴含法界。而今欲識住菴人，萬象之中獨露身，妙喜為寫此菴牓，要與太虛為近隣。」

"This hermitage is neither small nor large; / Truly laughable is Shitou fabricating wonders in vain. / Not knowing that the dharmadhātu is just this hermitage, / He forced the claim that this hermitage contains the dharmadhātu. / Now, if you wish to know the person dwelling in the hermitage: / In the midst of myriad phenomena, the body is exposed alone. / Miaoxi writes this signboard for the hermitage, / Wanting it to be close neighbors with the great void."
