呈起左手骨云：「這箇是眉州益。」呈起右手骨云：「這箇是饒州照。」一人會禪，一人會教，雖然各自行，畢竟同時到。且道：同時到底事作麼生？誰家別館池塘裏，一對鴛鴦畫不成。

Raising the bones in his left hand, he said: 'This is Yi of Meizhou.' Raising the bones in his right hand, he said: 'This is Zhao of Raozhou.' One understood Chan, one understood the teachings. Though each walked his own way, in the end they arrived at the same time. Tell me: what is the matter of arriving at the same time? In the pond of whose villa could a pair of mandarin ducks fail to be painted?
