19.21

趙州和尚云：「老僧十二時中，除二時粥飯是雜用心，餘無雜用心處。」此是這老和尚真實行履處，不用作佛法禪道會。

Venerable Zhaozhou said: "In all twenty-four hours of the day, except for the two times when I eat gruel and rice, which are uses of mind with distraction, in all other times I have no place where I use my mind with distraction." This was this old venerable's actual practice and conduct; you must not understand it as Buddhadharma or the Chan Way.
