2.17

上堂：「三轉法輪於大千，其輪本來常清淨，天人得道此為證，三寶於是現世間。」拈拄杖卓三下云：「法輪已三轉竟，作麼生是三寶現世間底消息？」良久云：「我王庫內無如是刀。」又卓一下。

Ascending the hall: "'Turning the wheel of Dharma thrice in the great thousand worlds, / that wheel is originally always pure. / Gods and humans attain the Way as proof of this; / the Three Jewels thereupon appear in the world.'" Taking up his staff and tapping it three times, he said, "The wheel of Dharma has already been turned thrice. What is the news of the Three Jewels appearing in the world?" After a long pause he said, "'In my king's treasury there is no such sword.'" He tapped it once more.
