3.26

上堂，拈拄杖卓一下云：「觀音妙智力，能救世間苦，百華開爛熳，覷見沒可覩。」遂擲下云：「今朝三月五。」

Ascending the hall, he took up the staff, struck once, and said: "'The wondrous power of Avalokiteśvara's wisdom can save the world from suffering.' A hundred flowers bloom in splendid profusion; gaze upon them, and there is nothing to be seen." Then throwing it down, he said: "Today is the fifth day of the third month."
