上堂：「結夏方得五日，露柱却知端的，勃跳撞入燈籠，普為諸人入室。還有知慚識愧者麼？」良久云：「白雲乍可來青嶂，明月難教下碧天。」

Ascending the hall: "The summer retreat has reached only its fifth day, yet the exposed pillar already knows the truth of the matter; leaping up, it crashes into the lantern, universally entering the room for everyone. Is there still anyone who knows shame and feels remorse?" After a long pause, he said: "White clouds may well drift to the blue peaks, / but it is hard to make the bright moon descend from the azure sky."
