上堂：「今朝五月五，天降沛然雨，艾人與門神，聚頭相耳語，且道：說箇甚麼？雪竇禪師來，一口吞佛祖。」

Ascending the hall: "Today is the fifth day of the fifth month; heavy rain pours from heaven. The mugwort-man and the door gods put their heads together and whisper to each other. Tell me: what do they say? Chan Master Xuedou arrives and swallows the Buddhas and Patriarchs in a single gulp."
