5.27

上堂：「今朝七月五，打鼓普請看，萬里無片雲，猶欠一大半。且作麼生是那一半？」良久云：「無人過價，打與一貫。」

Ascending the hall: "Today is the fifth day of the seventh month. Striking the drum, I invite all to look: across ten thousand leagues there is not a patch of cloud, yet it still lacks a full half. And what is that other half?" After a long pause, he said: "No one bids over the price; let's give him a single string of cash."
