6.10

上堂：「正說知見時，知見即是心，當心即知見，知見即如今。如今即且置，古佛與露柱相交，占波共新羅鬪額，萬里圓光頂後相，雲門北斗裏藏身，睦州擔板趙州喫茶，又作麼生商量？」遂喝一喝云：「若不喝住，幾乎亂却六十甲子。」下座。

Ascending the hall, [the Master] said: "'When you speak directly of views and perceptions, views and perceptions are the mind; right at the mind are views and perceptions; views and perceptions are just as things are now.' Putting 'just as things are now' aside for the moment: when the ancient buddhas and the open pillars intersect, when Campā and Silla bump foreheads, when the round radiance of ten thousand miles appears behind the crown of the head, when Yunmen hides his body inside the Northern Dipper, when Muzhou carries a plank, and Zhaozhou drinks tea—how then will you negotiate this?" Thereupon he gave a shout and said: "If I had not halted you with a shout, I would have nearly thrown the sixty sexagenary cycles into disorder!" He then stepped down from the seat.
