上堂：「今朝十月旦，為君重衍算，兩箇五百文，元來是一貫。頂門具眼人，記取這公案。」
Ascending the hall, [the Master] said: "Today is the first day of the tenth month; for you I calculate the count once more. Two lots of five hundred coins are originally one string. People with eyes in the crown of their heads, remember this gong'an!"
