8.28

儲大夫請示眾：「徹骨徹髓道一句，三要三玄絕遮護，竺乾四七例皆迷，震旦二三渾未悟，我說是言非正邪，當機覿面休回互，慇懃為報雲臺公，俊鷹不打籬邊兔。」

At the request of Grand Master Chu, he instructed the assembly: / "Uttering a phrase that pierces to bone and marrow, / The three essentials and three mysteries leave no shield or screen. / The four-seven of India were all uniformly deluded; / The two-three of China were entirely unawakened. / I speak these words neither as orthodox nor perverse; / Meeting face-to-face in the crux of the moment, cease all hedging. / Attentively I announce to the gentleman of the Cloud Terrace: / A fine hawk does not strike the rabbit beside the fence."
