9.17

問僧：「不與萬法為侶者是甚麼人？」僧云：「無面目漢。」師云：「適來有箇師僧如此道了，打出去也。」僧擬議，師便打。

He asked a monk, "'What kind of person is it who does not keep company with the myriad dharmas?'" The monk said, "A fellow with no face." The Master said, "Just now there was a monk who spoke like this, and he was beaten and driven out." The monk hesitated, and the Master struck him.
