Worldly people who currently enact ignorance and correct themselves to do good, even if the good is not yet fully attained, are they not far better than those shameless and unprincipled people who rely on a pretext of good to commit evil? In the teachings this is called: when the causal ground is not true, the fruit incurs twists and turns. If you can have a straightforward mind and straightforward practice, directly grasping unexcelled bodhi, this can be called the conduct of a true great hero. Matters from kalpas as numerous as dust motes are found only in the present moment; if you understand right now, the matters from kalpas as numerous as dust motes instantly collapse like tiles and melt like ice. If you do not understand right now, even after passing through kalpas as numerous as dust motes it will still be just like this. Such a dharma has been eternally so throughout all antiquity, never shifting in the slightest bit.
