6.22

At the conclusion of the summer retreat, ascending the hall, [the Master] said: "One hundred and twenty days of confinement of feet; thirty-five days spent running outside. The iron for pressing clothes and the teapot for boiling tea are not the same; the mud ox knows how to make a lion's roar. Today the Dharma year has come to full completion: having seized the nostrils, one has lost the mouth. Taking Great Perfect Awakening as the saṅghārāma, seven times seven is as before forty-nine."
