真淨和尚遊方時，與二僧偕行到谷隱，薛大頭問云：「三人同行必有一智，如何是一智？」二僧無語，淨立下肩，應聲便喝，薛竪拳作相撲勢，淨云：「不勞再勘。」薛拽拄杖趁出。薛見石門慈照禪師。

When Venerable Zhenjing was wandering on pilgrimage, he walked together with two monks to Guyin. Xue Datou asked, "When three people walk together, there must be one who is wise. What is the one who is wise?" The two monks had no words. Jing stood on the lower side, and answering the sound, he shouted. Xue raised his fist in a wrestler's posture. Jing said, "No need to examine me again." Xue dragged his staff and chased him out. Xue had seen Chan Master Cizhao of Shimen.
