聖節上堂：「靈機廓徹，妙叶無私，智鑑洞明，通途絕迹。一切處現吉祥事，不昧見聞覺知；亘塵沙劫堅密身，突出行住坐臥。天上天下歌有道，五湖四海樂無為。林下道人，將何報德？多子塔前消息在，一回拈出一回新。」

On the imperial birthday, he ascended the hall: "The numinous mechanism is thoroughly open, marvelously harmonizing without partiality; the mirror of wisdom is penetratingly bright, and the thoroughfare is devoid of tracks. In all places auspicious events appear, not blinding seeing, hearing, perceiving, and knowing; spanning dust-kalpas, the solid, dense body stands out in walking, standing, sitting, and lying down. Above heaven and beneath heaven, they sing of the possessed Way; across the five lakes and four seas, they rejoice in non-action. How can the person of the Way in the forest repay this virtue? The news before the Many Children Pagoda is present; brought out once, it is renewed once."
