拈疏云：「諸佛說不到處，祖師提不起時，結角羅紋，語言三昧，盡從箇裏流出。輝騰今古，不墮斷常，欲令四眾共知，何妨重為說破？」

Holding up the text of the invitation, he said: "Where the buddhas cannot speak, and when the patriarchs cannot bring it up—the intricate network and the samādhi of words all flow forth from this place. Radiating across past and present, not falling into annihilation or permanence; wishing to make the four assemblies know it together, what harm is there in speaking it out completely again?"
