淳熙七年八月二十九日，恭奉聖旨就本寺開堂，皇帝遣中使降賜御香。師領眾謝恩畢，捧香示眾云：「中天頒降，大地蒙熏，聚為光明幢，散作香水海。輝騰佛日，丕贊皇圖，天上人間，開佛知見。」

On the twenty-ninth day of the eighth month in the seventh year of Chunxi, reverently obeying the imperial decree to open the hall at this monastery, the Emperor dispatched an inner envoy to bestow imperial incense. The Master led the assembly in expressing gratitude, and then held up the incense, showed it to the assembly, and said: "Bestowed from the central heavens, the great earth receives its perfume; gathered, it forms a pillar of light; dispersed, it becomes an ocean of fragrant water. It radiates and elevates the Buddha-sun, grandly assists the imperial plan, and opens the Buddha's knowledge and vision in heaven and the human world."
