上堂：「今朝三月十五，天色半晴半雨，十分春色在枝頭，滿眼覷見沒可覩。報諸人，莫莽鹵，甜瓜徹蒂甜，苦瓠連根苦。」

Ascending the hall: “This morning is the fifteenth day of the third month, the weather half clear and half rainy. Full spring scenery is on the branches; looking with eyes wide open, there is nothing to be seen. I announce to you all: do not be reckless! A sweet melon is sweet all the way to its stem; a bitter calabash is bitter right down to its roots.”
