因雪上堂：「滿目紛紛呈瑞雪，填溝塞壑誰辨別？文殊無處頓渾身，普賢失却真妙訣，烏鵶變作白頭鵶，鐵樹翻成銀線結。報諸人，瞥不瞥？庭際無人立片時，便是太平底時節。」喝一喝，下座。

Ascending the hall on account of snow: "'Swirling before the eyes, auspicious snow presents itself; filling ditches and blocking ravines, who can distinguish it? Mañjuśrī has nowhere to place his whole body, Samantabhadra loses the true wondrous secret; the black raven turns into a white-headed crow, the iron tree becomes bound with silver threads.' I inform you all: do you glimpse it or not? When no one stands for a moment in the courtyard, that very time is a season of great peace." Giving a shout, he descended from the seat.
