上堂：「十五日已前，開池不待月；十五日已後，池成月自來；正當十五日，吹無孔笛，唱太平歌，佛及眾生同聲唱和。且超群拔萃一句作麼生道？四海浪平龍睡穩，九天雲靜鶴飛高。」

Ascending the hall, [the Master] said, "Before the fifteenth day, digging the pond does not await the moon. After the fifteenth day, when the pond is completed, the moon arrives naturally. Right on the fifteenth day, blowing the holeless flute, singing songs of great peace, the buddhas and sentient beings sing and harmonize in unison. And how do you speak a phrase that surpasses the crowd and stands out from the rest?
Across the four seas the waves are calm, and dragons sleep soundly;
In the nine heavens the clouds are still, and cranes fly high."
