上堂：「月生一，無角鐵牛眠少室；月生二，赤脚波斯入鬧市；月生三，水生於水青出於藍。」驀拈拄杖橫按顧視云：「文殊堂裏萬菩薩，夜來盡向此中參。」

Ascending the hall: "On the first day of the moon, the hornless iron ox sleeps at Shaoshi; on the second day of the moon, the barefoot Persian enters the bustling market; on the third day of the moon, water is born from water, blue comes from indigo." Suddenly taking up his staff and holding it horizontally, he looked around and said: "The ten thousand bodhisattvas in the Mañjuśrī Hall all came last night to study within this."
