1.64

上堂：「高高處無物堪比倫，低低處猶難擬議。一毫端上立寶王剎，寬廓非外；百草頭上突出妙喜世界，寂寥非內。權實照用並行，敲碎髑髏裏眼睛，揑出虛空裏骨髓。且聽諸人東卜西卜，忽若把斷要津如何通信？八月秋，何處熱？」

Ascending the hall: "In the highest place, nothing can compare with it; in the lowest place, it is still difficult to conceive. Upon the tip of a single hair the jewel-king's realm is erected, vast and open, not outside; atop the hundred grasses the world of Abhirati suddenly appears, solitary and desolate, not inside. The provisional and real, illumination and function, operate side by side, smashing the eyes within the skull and squeezing out the marrow from empty space. Let you all divine east and divine west; if the vital crossing is suddenly cut off, how will you send news? In the eighth month of autumn, where is it hot?"
