上堂，舉：「金牛和尚每日齋時，自將飯於僧堂前作舞，呵呵大笑道：『菩薩子喫飯來。』」師云：「等是普同供養，誰知飯裏有沙？」

Ascending the hall, he cited: "Every day at the meal hour, Venerable Jinniu would personally bring rice before the monks' hall, dance, and laugh loudly, saying, 'Bodhisattvas, come eat!'" The Master said, "Though this is universally an equal offering, who knew there was sand in the rice?"
