1.62

上堂，舉：「南泉因趙州問：『知有底人，向甚麼處去？』泉云：『山前檀越家，作一頭水牯牛去。』州云：『謝師答話。』泉云：『昨夜三更月到窓。』」師云：「王老師救手，刀子雖利，被趙州用減竈法，幾乎打破蔡州。」

Ascending the hall, he cited: "Nanquan was asked by Zhaozhou, 'Where does a person who knows there is "this" go?' Quan said, 'He goes to the house of a donor before the mountain to be a water buffalo.' Zhou said, 'I thank the Master for answering my question.' Quan said, 'Last night at the third watch, the moon reached the window.'" The Master said, "Old Teacher Wang's parrying dagger was sharp indeed, but Zhaozhou used the strategy of reducing cooking stoves and almost broke through Caizhou."
