佛涅槃上堂：「釋迦老子二千年前，做一箇夢，至今未醒，引得兒孫，向夢中說夢，狐魅後人。報恩寡不敵眾，只得換手椎胸，道蒼天蒼天。」

Ascending the hall on the Buddha's Parinirvāṇa: "Old Śākya, two thousand years ago, had a dream from which he has not awakened to this day, leading his descendants to speak of dreams within a dream, bewildering later people like fox spirits. Bao'en, being outnumbered, can only beat his breast with swapped hands and cry, 'O Blue Heaven! O Blue Heaven!'"
