1.78

上堂，舉：「世尊一日陞座，眾集定，文殊白椎云：『諦觀法王法，法王法如是。』世尊便下座。」師云：「是則是，只是舉椎較重些子。」

Ascending the hall, he cited: "One day the World-Honoured One ascended the seat. When the assembly had settled, Mañjuśrī struck the mallet and said, 'Clearly observe the Dharma of the Dharma King; the Dharma of the Dharma King is thus.' The World-Honoured One then stepped down from the seat." The Master said, "It is indeed so; it was only that striking the mallet was a bit too heavy."
