上堂，舉：「五祖道：『諸莊不收，不以為憂，百數衲子，無一箇透得狗子佛性話，誠以為憂。』」師云：「五祖大似破關中收圖書。」

Ascending the hall, he cited: "Wuzu said: 'If the various manors do not yield a harvest, I do not consider it a worry; but that among hundreds of patch-robed monks, not a single one has penetrated the topic of the dog's Buddha-nature, this I truly consider a worry.'" The master said: "Wuzu is very much like collecting maps and books after breaching the pass."
