上堂，舉：「汾陽無業國師示眾：『若有一毫聖凡情念未盡，未免入驢胎馬腹。』白雲又道：『直饒一毫聖凡情念頓盡，亦未免入驢胎馬腹。』」師云：「二大老向無心中撰出一場口面。」卓主丈：「近日王令稍嚴。」

Ascending the hall, he raised: "National Teacher Wuye of Fenyang instructed the assembly: 'If even a fine hair of sentiment regarding the sacred and the profane is not exhausted, one cannot avoid entering the womb of a donkey or the belly of a horse.' Baiyun also said, 'Even if a fine hair of sentiment regarding the sacred and the profane were suddenly exhausted, one still could not avoid entering the womb of a donkey or the belly of a horse.'" The Master said, "The two great elders fabricated a public scene out of mindlessness." He struck with his staff: "Recently, the king's orders have become rather strict."
