元宵上堂，僧問：「香林因僧問：『如何是室內一椀燈？』林云：『三人證龜成鼈。』意旨如何？」師云：「奴見婢殷勤。」僧云：「學人禮謝去也。」師云：「承虛接響。」

Ascending the hall on the Lantern Festival, a monk asked, "Xianglin, because a monk asked: 'What is the single lamp inside the room?' said: 'Three people verify that a turtle has become a terrapin.' What is the meaning?" The master said, "A male servant greets a maidservant with great attentiveness." The monk said, "This student bows in thanks and departs." The master said, "Relying on emptiness and seizing on echoes."
