復舉：「雪峯示眾：『盡大地撮來如粟粒，拋向面前。漆桶不會，打鼓普請看。』」師云：「雪老當時與麼，殊不知有今日。二林今夏亦教諸人密密地與麼，但不必普請。更若不會，爾自孤負雪峯，於虛堂初無干與。」

He also cited: "Xuefeng instructed the assembly: 'Taking the entire great earth and pinching it like a grain of millet, I toss it before you. If you lacquer buckets do not understand, strike the drum and call for collective labor to see!'" The master said, "Old Xue at that time acted like that, completely unaware that there would be today.
