2.59

上堂，舉：「雲門因僧問：『佛法如水中月是否？』門云：『清波無透路。』」師云：「雲峯道：『雲門禪如九轉透瓶丹。』若果是，恐未是。」

Ascending the hall, he cited: "Yunmen was asked by a monk, 'Is the Buddha-Dharma like the moon in the water, or not?'
Yunmen said, 'The clear waves have no penetrating path.'"
The master said, "Yunfeng said, 'Yunmen's Chan is like the nine-times transformed elixir penetrating the vase.' If it truly were so, I fear it is not yet so."
