乃云：「採菊東籬下，悠然見南山。陶靖節雖是箇俗人，却有些衲僧說話。雖然，他是晉時人，未可全信。」
He then said: "'Plucking chrysanthemums beneath the eastern fence, / Leisurely I behold the southern mountains.' Although Tao Jingjie was a layman, he nonetheless possessed some patch-robed monk talk. Even so, he was a man of the Jin dynasty; he cannot be completely trusted."
