上堂：「空山無人，水流花香，鶖子滿慈，泯其智辯，离婁師曠，黜其聰明。何也？識法者懼。」
Ascending the hall: "The empty mountain is devoid of people, the water flows and flowers are fragrant. Śāriputra and Pūrṇa extinguish their wisdom and eloquence; Li Lou and Music Master Kuang cast aside their keenness of sight and hearing. Why so? Those who know the Dharma are afraid."
