3.60

復舉：「古德因僧問：『如何是冬來事？』德云：『京師出大黃。』」師云：「朕聞上古，其風朴略，王言如絲，誰敢不聽。忽有人問鄮山，只向他道：風門海口當風抵浪，也須是箇人始得。」

He brought up again: "An ancient worthy, because a monk asked, 'What is the affair of winter's coming?', said, 'The capital produces rhubarb.'" The Master said: "I have heard that in high antiquity, customs were simple and unadorned; the king's words were like silk, so who dared disobey? If someone suddenly asks Mountain Mao, I would just say to him: 'Braving the wind and resisting the waves at the Fengmen sea mouth—one must indeed be such a person to pull it off.'"
