謝首座上堂，卓主丈：「死盡天下衲子偷心，方稱此題目。」卓主丈：「死盡天下衲子偷心，轉向那邊，猶墮功勳邊事。作麼生得恰恰相應去？」卓主丈：「人天眼目，堂中上座。」

Ascending the hall to thank the head monk, he struck the staff and said: "Only when the stealing mind of all patch-robed monks in the world is completely dead does one match this title." Striking the staff, he said: "Having completely put to death the stealing mind of all patch-robed monks in the world, turning toward that side still falls into affairs of merit.
