舉：「奯上座到百丈，丈云：『闍梨！有事相借問得麼？』奯云：『幸自非言，何須譗𧫡。』丈云：『收得安南，又憂塞北。』奯擘開胸云：『與麼不與麼？』丈云：『要且難搆，要且難搆。』奯云：『知即得，知即得。』」

He cited: "Elder Huo arrived at Baizhang's. Baizhang said: 'Ācārya! May I ask you about something?' Huo said: 'Fortunate indeed that it has nothing to do with words; why must you chatter?' Baizhang said: 'Having pacified Annan, one worries again about the northern frontier.' Huo tore open his chest and said: 'Thus or not thus?' Baizhang said: 'After all, it is difficult to grasp; after all, it is difficult to grasp.' Huo said: 'Knowing it will do; knowing it will do.'"
